Region V includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. In 2013, FEMA gave a $1.9 million fire grant to Minnesota. The primary goal of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Program is to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical service organizations. Since 2001, AFG has helped firefighters and other first responders to obtain critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, training, and other resources needed to protect the public and emergency personnel from fire and related hazards.
OpenFEMA shares data in order to support the ability for the U.S. to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate hazards. Data reflected here exclude grants related to weapons of mass destruction terrorism. FEMA and the Federal Government cannot vouch for the data or analyses derived from these data after the data have been retrieved from the Agency’s website. Numbers may not add up due to rounding.
